Kilgalligan's Strand
the warm
and wondrous
caress
of the westerly winds
set my senses alight
I could see your
wilful waving hair
again as in the
times of Eridanus
the tender touch
of your warm breath
on my eager
waiting lips
made me shiver
with pleasure
and pain
skyward you came
'twixt grey gloom
and rain
enfolding me
caressing me
from the pain
the deep dark
will of loss
I turned around
Kilgallian's strand
and set my feet
to heaven's
bright shore
where loss
and gain
would no
more pain
be febrile
