My Falling Angel
Deep in winter late one nightA hidden figure bathed in white
Landed some ways from my home
Curiosity inside me caused me to roam
Into the snow I went with wonder
I watched my step to keep from going under
A few feet away laid the angel I sought
Tonight the wish I made had been brought
Questions filled the air as I asked away
How long tonight will be your stay
The answer was almost swiftly after
The response immediately summoned laughter
For hours on end we talked about life
Trying to avoid talks involving strife
The sun on the horizon, the angel to disappear
Sadness struck me and at the same time cheer
Another cold winter day to come and go
To meet again at the next sign of snow
