Thoughts of a Loved One

In the meeting place
I see your face
Beautiful as can be

I Hope one day
To finally say
My feelings to a degree

Your eyes that sparkle like stars in the night
Your personality that shines and makes life alright
Your hair so soft like that of a feather
When your outside there's perfect weather

If only you knew the way I felt
How you make my heart just melt
Why I want these feelings inside
To just explode and never hide

Your face was new and I had to know
If you would ever say hello
To me, the person who wanted a chance
To know you better, just advance

Up the ladder to your heart
That should never fall apart
And if it does, I will mend
As for your life, I will defend

I know I'm just another guy
To win your heart, I really try
If all else fails I've set this trend
Of always being your special friend
