Downpour
It was a day I'll never forgetThe rain was falling on my window sill
The noise of the city blended
To summon my emotional breakdown
As the cab pulled up to the hotel
I raced downstairs to the lobby
Then out the door into the rain
He exited the cab and I stared into his eyes
All memories of problems passed rose
The look in his eyes was that of happiness and sorrow
My blonde hair was mangled from the downpour
But for those few minutes it didn't exist
I pulled him close and wrapped him in a close embrace
Pleasant memories surrounded us
It was like old times once again
I knew this feeling would soon come to an end
Then we kissed
I wished this exchange was more than empty
He then called for a cab
That was the last time I would ever see him
True love moves without a trace
