Sit 'N Wait

Between us is silence
Space around a battlefield
We're together and feelings erupt
We're apart and feelings subside
Around us the walls have ears
Listening, learning, planning
When the walls break down
Our words are released
They spread like a virus
People assume, you turn away
I assume, you run away
I long to hold you in my arms
Not for a few but, forever
In my arms, you're safe
The past, like a mirror
Showing us how we were
Today, like tomorrow
Wanting us to occur
Time hold restrictions
That we will soon brake
Why is it when we're together
My heart begins to ache
A difference of opinion
No one else knows
How we feel when united
What kind of feelings show
Whatever tomorrow brings us
Promise me one thing
That you will always be the one person
Life cannot replace
