Life-poem #1

Fish

It starts in a flash and it ends with a bang
a careful collection of moments in time
Faces in rock and echoes through stone
sand through the glass and time in the tomb

a snapshot of life you couldn't forget
still passed in the night as you drifted along,
the future collided with yesterdays dream
you tried to catch up but got caught in the stream

control is the motion of the fin of a fish
that works with the current that pushes along
waves will rise and then break as they fall
our lives will pass by whether we live them at all

When all clocks are dust and all motion is gone
will your life still be ticking and carrying on?
drifting away in the ebb of the stream
a brief moment of time in the eye of a storm.

Zoya Zaidi
Life comes and life goes on,
On moment follows the other
and so on and on...

Life goes in spirals,
never ends at all;
Life is a riddle
never to be solved...

WELCOME TO THE BAY, Chris G.!

Love, Zoya
