Written beside the River Rhine
power
river wideand
river surly
forceful
forcing
fiercesome
frown
swinging
through
the country
seething
unforgiving
vibrant
proud
could I
but cross
thee or
control
thee
could I
but grasp
thy power
in portion
I would
be the
strongest
man
but instead
I sit beside
thee
awed
by beauty
flow and
power
as I wonder
in my wander
shall I ever
feel
this hour
