hope
Abovethe darkling
road,
Orion strides.
The night
is bold black,
dark
beyond
imaginings.
Once more,
I secret
my way,
under cover
of
bleakness.
Beside me
the ink black
sea,
calm
after
Atlantic
rage.
A gull startles.
Down the
boreen,
a candle
flickers.
You are there.
There is
hope.
