shrieks
they foundher
alone
on
lower
strand
where
sea
reluctantly
leaves
for
least of
times
the caress
and embrace
of shore
and shingle
the Atlantic
had not
been
kind
foetal
abandoned
broken
wrecked
hair
blood black
on mussel
bed
black
rock
face
mercifully
down
in white
sand
naked
sleeping
creeping
waves
they said
it was a
bad lot
they say
he should
have stayed
they pray
a gull
circling
malevolent
present
shrieks
