a rambler bent on heaven
in the Westthere is
a place
so secret
few
would dare
to venture
but
we did
we do
and
underneath
the deep
black
sky
pin-pricked
by Orion's belt
I rest
upon your rising breasts
and hold
your hand
against my chest
as out across
the haven broad
the mist
twist turns
and then
returns
to cool
our passion spent
but
early in
the creeping dawn
your eyes
pour
into mine
a love
so deep
a love
so true
I wonder
if
I am good
for you
a rambler
bent
on
heaven
