childhood memories

cooley calls
and
cooley shows
across
the water
and
the shoals
as at
eventide
the boats
return full
laden with
a day's
hard catch
and as we
dash down
streets
so narrow
we hear
the call
of gulls
and girls
awaiting
their
fulfillment time
and
by the
foreshore
and the
graves
where
families rest
these years
around
a seal
bobs off
the harbour pier
catching sprats
and mackerel
childhood
memories
times long gone
live
in
our hearts
as in
our children
on
and on
and
on

...childhood......the magic time... the time we always will be part of in our hearts ... the place were all our dreams are made... and if we listen closely to our hearts we will always find what we need inside our childhood dreams ............

a wonderful poem ... it is alive to me the reader and I feel like I am running once again, fast and with the wind just a the child I once was ... (still am)

best wishes

I have just taken a trip to your childhood, so vivid...What alive poem, full of emotional pictures (if one can say so). Simple and deep at the same time.
Had to bookmark it.
