and boats slip by

on the
shingle
on the
shore
we made
love ‘til
there was
no more
to do
or say
or hear
or pray
as tide
crept
in and
birds
flew
past
and everything
you dared
to grasp
slipped
through
your hands
as sand
through
fingers
sifts
and boats
slip by
some
live
some
die
I kissed
you
and
you
kissed
me
upon
that shingle
shore
at
endtime

this poem drags the reader right into its heart, very powerful piece of love upon the shore

*sighs*...*and sighs some more* :))
So delighted to read this!...I almost learned it by heart, so many times I have walked my eyes among your words...and boats slip by...and the image used is beautiful! Great work here, Peter! Definitely bookmarked!
