sirius

they came
early
they came
quickly
they came
cautiously
clouds
fine and
filamentary
whispy,
willowing
messengers
of coming
storms
flowering
towering
darkening
shadowing
Erris
where
we meet
furtively
passionately
at the
whim
of opening
sky
to the north
the wild geese
veer left
twist right
drop down
rise up
as one
until
as an open fan
they bear
homewards
beneath
this sirius
sky we
sleep
sated
and
suffused

a dog barks

Enjoyed this one a lot, Peter--most invigorating, it calls to my mind the closing lines of Tennyson's "Locksley Hall"!
