One Final Chance
I've been thinking about one question for quite a while
Yet I think about the outcome when I see your loving smile
I wonder what could be achieved by asking you this query
The pain that exists in being shot down makes my heart weary
I understand that questions like this are asked everyday
We all wonder if what we want will always go our way
You’re like the treasure hidden deeply behind a chamber door
I need to tell you observations that I've never spoken before
You should know that I care for you like I care for my heart
I try desperately to keep my problems and your affairs apart
I really have been hesitant to express to you how I feel
I sense the aftermath of this decision, this pain will be all too real
Before you decide to make a choice please think about what’s here
This question that you will have to answer and the small dash of fear
I think you should also know this decision was hard to make
I risk my dignity, respect, and friendship for this is all at stake
I wandered down a path with no real direction in mind
I hope when this is over some degree of peace is what I’ll find
So think about what could be and what tomorrow will hold
For events to be determined will eventually start to unfold
After all this time of thinking and fear I’m certain one thing is true
The undying respect, care and deference I surely have for you
I've been thinking about one question for quite a while
Hoping that when it is asked it will make your heart smile
This sudden burden adds a lot of stress to an already hard day
I've said what was on mind and that’s all I have to sayPoetry by Coolaaron88
