prague autumn
on the hillwe walk at
dusk time
as city
scurries home
and lights
come on in
homes across
the valley
guard dogs
bark and a
lone cat prowls
amongst the
leaves and
seeds of
autumn we
taste the
fruit of elder
harsh and
bramble sweet
as if by
chance we
came to
meet our
futures and
as the sun
drops from
our sight
before the
glorious wonder
of the night
and haze
insinuates
its cold
I hold you
close and
tender
