From Curiosity Came Jealousy
I
In this truthful story I will simply explain
How from a world of plenty came boundless pain
From the start there were two gods who brought birth
To a paradise and wonderland place called earth
Positive the first and negative there after
Both kept alive by the sounds of their laughter
The first god placed good like water among the land
While negative instilled fear with his “caring” hand
This simple balance of light and dark
Would be a foundation on which life would embark
Humans created and homes for them all
Comfort in disaster and relief during fall
Exact perfection created right out of the blue
This world would stand perfect, yet that fact’s untrue
II
Each god created humans all one in the same
Each the same income, each the same name
One human was different, a glare in his eye
His name was Cyclare, the perfect ally
He always said please and walked with a smile
This trait was static, yet he’d turn hostile
There was one dimension the gods couldn’t equate
That human nature is a not a perfect state
He got the same meal, same money, same toys
Yet that wasn’t enough these given joys
He wanted more than the rest of the pack
This is where curiosity would finally strike back
III
Surely and slowly he enlisted some friends
Who knew not of this curiosity end
He’d sway them like he’d do countless others
Even forcing this idea on his very own brother
Positive saw this, this flaw in his plan
The start of jealousy has finally began
Negative looked on with a small simple smirk
Positives reaction was quite berserk
Negatives corruption had come very fast
The serenity they had was gone in a flash
IV
Cyclare had instilled jealousy among the land
Using human nature that wasn’t planned
From curiosity came jealousy, this painful force
Throwing love, trust, and care off course
Now the world in a state of chaos goes on today
People live their lives in their very own way
Jealousy, the corruptive force that has spread
Filling the hope in mankind with dread
