Austria

The golden capital of music
led the world to harmony for centuries
spreading universal joy and beauty
actually to every corner of the earth
by the divine endowment of adorable musicians
such as Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms,
the Strausses, Schubert, Bruckner, Mahler, Lehar
and innumerable others, prophets of the highest creativity
and masters of the only universal language: music.
Austria was never a colonial power
and was never taken seriously as an imperial power,
broken and humiliated by Napoleon and Germany
and massacred and quartered to a fragment
after the first world war, while it prospered still
by art and authors, such as Schnitzler,
Stefan Zweig, the leading humanist and pacifist,
Rainer Maria Rilke, Hofmannsthal and doctor Freud,
eventually humiliated once too much
by Anschluss and the second world war,
which turned Vienna desolate to ruins and starvation.
Well, we still have all the music,
and that sound of music will forever be the finest part of Austria,
completely ruling it to its sustained immortal glory.
Thank you, Austria, for all your world of music!

I guess you are much of a music lover- technically speaking the great classical ones. Well, i would like to join your line of thoughts in your poem. I have listened to the music of the genuises of the classical and the rennaissance world. and even have seen them portrayed by actors in movies. and I say Their music were breathtaking, heavenly and grand.Rejoice!Rejoice! I love this poem.
