Soul
Searching for a soul to call my ownThis body's dying, nothing left but skin and bone
Cuts and bruises, dripping blood and pouring tears
I can't hide all of my worst fears
Searching for a soul to make me whole
Emptiness and sadness has taken its toll
Alone, bent, broken and lost
What is love, what is the cost
Searching for a soul to fill the night
To hold me and protect me from things that bite
Thumps, scrapes, scratches and voices in the dark
All of these things have left their mark
This body's hollow
Where you lead, I will follow
Tired of this endless gaping hole
Searching, searching for a soul
