ballyholme

after all these years
t'is amazing
truly amazing
her beauty is
undinted
twenty years or more
the sea has ravaged
and caressed
this shore
but gentle now
in dazzling Sunday sun
it is
as if
we never parted
as yesterday
we walked
hand in little hand
uneven footprints
in the sand
as to
the seagulls mocking call
we seek the muddy path
where moments
always seem to last
the rising of
the moontime

This reminded me so much of beach walks with my sons when they were small - Ireland does have the most beautiful coastline and makes me long to pay another visit to her shores. There is always something to see along the shores - the sheer power of nature and the tenacity she has.
