the glass
sided bridge
seemed so
fragile linking
thee to me
them to us
no hand rail
diagonal
sky above
broken
flags
below
were
I to make
that jump
absent mindedly
I pause
and wonder
as the light
shafts through
at angles
a child
breaks
my reverie
with a cry
broken hearts
and minds
resplendent joy
I cross
over
