An Evening spent with Winter
How are you,dear bonnie lass?Dressed desirously in black and grey;
The morning dew carried your arrival news,
And the frivolous fog confirmed your stay.
Summer this year,has hindred your route,
Flirted with Autumn all the way;
Only at her time to bid adieu,
He silently slipped,happy and gay.
Slithered silently into your sublime kingdom,
Was tempted into temptation by temptation;
Are you planning for avenging the misdoing,
Forcing him into prolonged hibernation.
How do you do, dear bonnie lass?
Adorned admiringly in golden glow,
Has mist embellished your crown jewels too?
Be kind enough to let me know.
The wind is seeking your beloved blessings,
The leaves eager to abandon their trees;
Grass 'n' shrubs have all yielded to thee,
Waiting to be bestowed,with your belligerent kiss.
Let's drink to your prowess, my bonnie lass,
Tap your feet to the sweet jingle and bass;
Hope you arrive early in the succeeding ages,
And save us from Summer's brutal whiplash.
