Blasphemous Beckoning

The string of pearls slowly slipped away,
While she whispered sermons in a blasphemous way;
The nectar of innocence fueled the felony
While his emotions swiveled the sinful way.

She inhaled life into Minos again
Unleashed the beast from dungeons of hell
The unholy gust threw his thoughts disarray
His sumptuous emotions swept into the barren bay.

The wind whistled a tale of forlorn paradise -
a hindsight into untried utopia;
From the remnants of a unheralded wasteland
Will the dreaded demon once again rise.

The twister threw his soul into a torrid tussle
The stones creaked in his desolate castle
Venice had him in thrall
Slowly he gave in to the callous call.

Effective rhythm and flow and choice of words. Poetic in a traditional and pleasing way.

I am taken away by the passion in this poem, from the very first word to the last! Eloquently penned, with 'unleashed beasts from dungeons of hell to the gentle and final fall. Beautiful!
