a shaggy dog story
wrigglyraggedly
scruffy
shepherd
chasing cars
for fun
now the mountain
was retired
in mists past
he waits
at the corner
his good eye
to the fore
and as we walked
up to the quay
he always casts
his good eye back
to ensure his new sheep
had not slipped the fold
and him
redundant made
