Eternal Love
Gunfire falls upons us likepouring rain.
I look into your eyes for the
last time.
Even in the midst of all this
terror and destruction
you hold strong.
Your eyes show no fear
only recognition and happiness
You move toward me and
take my hands
Suddenly the sky is full of light.
All the noise
disappears.
A peaceful silence
fills the world.
As we stare into each others
eyes
I see the life that should have been.
I see that happiness we should have shared.
In that moment the world doesn't
matter anymore.
As we watch the fire race toward us
coming to destroy,
all I can feel is love and
finally, a true feeling of happiness.
As I watch you fall to the flames
and as I feel them devour me,
I know that finally happiness has come to me,
finally I will be able to share the rest of eternity
with you.
and that thought is what drives me through
the pain of death
to the other side
where you stand,
waiting with open arms.
