Hello!

Google's where it all began
cursor blinking bright
waiting to be fed by me
to show a guiding light

where did i want to go today?
what treats await for me?
type in poetry and wait
to see what i can see.

i scroll through endless lists of sites
that offer me such treasure
of competitions, far and wide
for my work, beyond all measure.

you only have to sign up here
and register in a flash
incidently, by the way
we want your hard-earned cash

I then click on this little site
this forum, poetbay
where free expression and free will
can now come out and play.

i write the poems for sheer joy
of finding different rhymes
to describe the world in which we live
oh happy, happy times!

I hope you like my poetic ways
i think you'll be impressed
how i can rhyme with seamless ease
words like repossessed!
