Twilight Cottage
The sky was shining bright that nightWhen I stepped outside my door
I glanced up at the darkening sky
As I've done on nights before
The barren trees with solemn faces
Made haven around my abode
I watched the sun say its last goodbye
Watched as the river flowed
The lanterns that lit up my home
Added a coziness to the view
The smell that filled the autumn sky
Brought back memories of me and you
I never really minded
How the nighttime sky brought peace
To the air and nature 'round me
And made my fears now cease
I appreciate the twilight
For giving me something to remember
In the elegant beauty and inspiration
Know as a peaceful November
