Lucky Death
I see now how it begins this ending...Slowly people known forever begin to pale
And falter...
The laughter remains undiminished but
The outsides and the innards quietly become
Unsuited to life.
The ease of youth meanders to a meanness but
Sweetly somehow the spirit turns svelte
And sonorous.
Then the syncopation ceases...
If we have a lucky death.
