Continue to be in
Charge of us...
When did they
Become so valuable?
How come I want to
Slap them?

It is time to desist
From the old...
Begin fresh.
Basically I want to say
There is no hope
Within this future.

Thrilled?

Let's leave it to the politicos?
I'm just trying hard to understand
The mess they've led us into...
How I may murder them quietly...
Give me an unchambered gun...

The old boys club
Has quite affected hearts....
Mine for example has ears.
And hope.
Why can they not understand
The simple points of everyone living.

qUite a powerful rant of a poem......politicians and politics are disgusting to me...but I really wanted to comment on Nick's comment and advice about John Prine.....good advice, made me laugh and you would not believe who one of my 22 year old daughter's favorite musician is: John Prine. I was flabbergasted. She loves all the old groups and musicians that I liked from when I was her age. Good advice, Nick....check him out Linda. :)
