unique
I want to walkwhere no-one's walked
along a beach
where waves
of the highest tide
have removed
the passage
of the years
I want to walk
through snow drifts
dazzlingly white
finely sculptured
as the sugar pyramids
I used to see
in Cooper's window
as a child
for then I'd stop
and window stare
and try to catch
each spectra
from the sun
within mine
inner eye
and as I drift
through drifts
of finest
purest snow
my trousers sparkle
with tiny diamonds
I know this day
this dawn
this dusk
at least
will be
unique
