The Problem with Beauty

The problem about beauty is,
it is too beautiful,
every beautious lady is too beautiful,
and you can never have them all,
and even if you have one of them,
that is not enough,
since there is always someone else
who happens to be even more beautiful.
The eyes can not resist the charm of beauty,
you just have to fall for every one of them,
there is not a chance of an escape;
while more often than not you are deluded,
and the beauty proves to be a mask of shallowness,
which only complicates the problem...
Thus you learn with age
to look beyond the mask of beauty,
and eventually you will discover
that real beauty has no permanence
except within the soul.

The dilemma of beauty being a snare is timeless and universal. This is such a deeply searching poem. Thanks for sharing.

As for myself, I do not believe in the concept of human physical beauty because it is simply a superficial concept that varies from individual to individual. There may be attractions, true, but those attractions quickly disappear if there isn't a more soulful substance evident in the personality. I think the men types that are swayed by what they think is such extreme beauty only to find that their prize is shallow or even hollow actually contribute to and enable this perversity to exist. Many of these women learn early on how to manipulate and rely on their looks and see little need to develop and grow intellectually or emotionally and are happy to be put on that pedastal, so to speak. Not all attractive people fall victim in those traps. Many many years ago when those types of men tried to put me up on their beauty queen pedastals I chose to run from them instead, as well as the ones whose only interest seemed to be getting inside my panties. Shallow reciprocates shallow.....or so it seems in my experience. :)

Beauty is skin deep they say,
gravity takes over , all drops ,
And droops ,
Mens waist moves up , to the chest ,
Woman trip over their boobs , unles,
The graverty belt strap is closer to the but ,
Hair gos many shaides of gray , or just on the pilow ,
In the morning ,
The beauty with in remains , and becomes all the more beautiful fore ever more.
