Has society lost the plot?

Disparity serves who?

Why is it that the egos of our time, have yet to be overwhelmed by the silent tears of those so less fortunate?

What flood of desperation is required, to wash away the grime, to reveal the purpose of so much self-serving justification?

What exactly is the failing of those who are left wanting?

Are their demands really too much?

or is it that their dreams are too small?

Too insignificant to be noticed, lost in the shadows of those who so jealously hord.

How their dreams have been abandoned by the want of towering egos.

Shame on those who are compelled to maintain this disparity,

Shame on those who deal the hand,  so they, they alone,  may walk tall amongst the crowd.

Hi Rik...good meanful poem

as to your comment , Has society lost the plot"

No I don't think so....It has been a lousy plot enjoyed mostly
by those who dreamed up their plot of power

Beautiful! I love the message. It's not what you do for a living that defines who you are, it's what's in your heart that does. This is a wonderful write.
