it must be getting warmer
today
the first of many
too many to count

far from spotless
kitchen floor
should I stand on him
flatten him
in his tracks
as I did as a kid
adding a
tiny spot
to my Mum's
very spotless floor
or should I
be grown up
mature
adult
green aware
leaving him
to do his job
like you or me
back and forth
forth and back
from whence he came
soon to return
another tiny spot
on a far from
spotless earth
goodness me
would you believe it

just licked him up
then looked at me
for more
