End Of The Light
There is a tunnel at the end of the light
Where you just have to believe in hope
A candle flickering in the windings of night
There are flames climbing your long last rope
An unknown star shining in a cold still pool, unseen
Symbols form like worlds of want one never knows
What lurks behind the beckoning shallows
A reckoning of paths diverge, what is has not been
Only a questioning silence breaks this solitude
The time that has accrued and spent what was
Reflects your ghostly image went because
Love breaks like a fever something dying to intrude
Becomes a wraith of faith, pretend as one might
There is a tunnel at the end of the light
