Women have been through a lot since the start of time. They've been victims of heinous crimes, of battered egos of men who can

She will not cry

Look at her,
All tall and proud,
Her head held high,
Her body covered with scars,
Some that can mend,
Some that cannot,
She was pushed around,
Slapped by destiny,
The bruise evident on her cheek,
They didnt want her walking,
Moving ahead,
So she's now on her knees,
But that didn't stop her,
She's still moving on ahead.

Try as you might,
Give it your best shot,
Give it all your might,
You can break her body,
But not her soul,
You can kill her love,
But not her zest to live,
Look into her eyes,
You'll see defiance,
Staring back at you,
You won't even see,
A drop of tear,
You'll never see her cry.

Yes, that is so true. Of all the women I've known who have been in this kind of situation, they'll never be the first to say out-right what their experience has been even though the scars are obvious to all to witness them. This makes me dream of a world where no woman, child (or even man) goes through this horrendous reality of violence. Much impact and meaning to these words! Very good.
