So beautifully written that it gives a kind of sweet pain...yes, we know it hurts, yet we dwell in the shadows of our past.
Thank you for sharing this.

Sad and yet fond thoughts are the most difficult ones. It's the loss like this like losing your shadow, and reading it brings tears and fond memories of dear ones. Today, I have been writing about loss, and your wonderful poem just intensified my feelings.
Take care.

Why We Call It Passing Away

2013-08-07
I have always loved reading your work. They are thoughtful with a profoundness that's rare. The most powerful verse in this one for me is "Not by what is gained but by what is lost"... It really makes me wonder why we are so sad most of the times and why can't we be happy for what we have rather than being sad for what we don't have...
Beautiful one...

LOL,
Amy

Musings on Change

2012-12-01
Indeed pleasant...

I used to wake up in the early morns
With sun's soft kisses and tender warmth
And now the nights have lengthened
And the early morns are wispy, misty lingerings
Of foggy unendings and breaths...

Happy Winters!!!
Amy

Love Late in Life

2012-12-01
Loving someone and being loved by someone always feels great. However, sometimes... most of the times... in (early love) the commitment needed to keep loving someone and sharing lives till the end seems such a difficult thing to do.
Your advice and the poem both are splendidly beautiful.
To love someone knowing all that love entails and keep loving that someone thru'out one's life is something that I would like to do as well.
Very warm and introspective.

LOL,
Amy

Under a Bed of Lies

2012-11-29
Hi,
This piece is just so intense, so beautifully and meaningfully crafted.
And I just wish for you that may you find that hope, trust, love and faith in your heart again.
Maybe somethings are easier said than done.
Maybe the woman who betrayed the young man didn't know what she might lose.
Awaiting a happier sequel...

LOL,
Amy

Miles Apart but Still Near

2012-11-08
Thank you dearest for the wonderful thoughts.

Even if I were a butterfly
I would chase the seagulls and fly to you
I won't mind my tired broken wings
Because I would find rest and peace beside you.

LOL,
Amy

March Night

2012-03-29
The best way I can appreciate 'March Night' is to simply say, your poem took me there and I vividly remember watching the stars, esp. the constellation 'The Big Dipper' popularly known as 'Saptarishi' in India.

The wave on the ocean of love

2012-03-27
We are all but a lost wave
Floating unmindful yet mindful on the ocean of love
Searching endlessly and yet not knowing
We are where we ought to be
O the ocean of love.

Had to be a poetical response.
Truly amazing!!!

LOL,
Amy

Nature's Grace

2012-02-21
Had a similar feeling while driving on the way to Khardungla Top (Ladakh, India), the highest motorable road in the world. You can see stretches and stretches of desolate beauty and feel you do not belong here and yet somehow you belong by 'Nature's Grace'.
Thanks a lot for sharing.

LOL,
Amy
