Can I just say. I never drink alcohol in any of its forms.

Cheers m' dears! (Rime couées challenge)

Somewhere in the world it's well after noon
And the beat goes on to the same old tune
We can sit here and wait for the moon
Then it's two for one cocktails, now that is a boon

And then we will drink till we can't any more
When my endless chatter will become quite a bore
So we will all sing and that's barring none
But our head in the morning will forget it was fun

noon
tune
soon
moon
boon

more
bore

none

No need to drink to observe its effects or even to witness the culture (and subcultures) that surrounds it. This is a fun read and may I say, challenge complete!
