Lonely

 

 

Never had a problem

with being alone

I´m used to

being on my own

 

But since you came

into my life

I´m experiencing

a new emotion

previously unknown

 

Missing you

when you´re not here

And even though

I can feel you being near

 

~in my heart~

 

still brings out a

slow-running tear

Cause we´re

being kept apart

 

~feeling lonely~

 

So....

 

I have no problem

with being alone

It´s the loneliness

that I can´t stand!

I read this poem to my mother. She is 85, and we are still grieving for my Dad.....she liked it and so did I. I am guessing that u r in love?

I know exactly what you mean. I love my own company sometimes. I may even opt for being alone, but when that feeling of loneliness comes I "can't stand" it. Good work. Appeals to the reader.
