One of my very first poems ever written - to the man I will always love.. even though we're not together anymore
Very soon I have to be on my way
In our haste we take time to touch
A quick whisper : "I love you so much"
In different directions we part
Not long before another corporate day will start
The day might be filled with different shades of blue
Overwhelmed with excitement when I think of you
Eyes that fill with burning pleasure
A voice that reveals a hidden treasure
A contagious laugh echoing through my mind
Actions that reflect your heart is kind
We have been together for some years
Confide in each other and overcome our fears
Although our world is turned upside down
I'm wearing a smile and no longer a frown
Enjoying the rhythm of a song while traffic sets the pace
Cannot wait to get home, to your embrace
