nether light
I lie here
in this nether light
'twixt day and night
n'er sound nor sight
can bother me
as in my reverie of delight
I conjure images of flight
and soar the open searing sky
from dawn to dusk
and night to light
a never netherland
of sights and sounds
and wonders bright
'bove cities bleak
through skyscapes vast
cross bog and mellow meadows sweet
I fly in my mind's eye
and see an empty beach
footstepped by two
and there land to feel
you sway beneath the dunes
where once we lay
to see the sun asetting
O take me there
where once I grew
and knowing nothing
there I knew
the nether light
'fore dawning
