Pests
Why I must suffer these hungry creatures whose pestilence serves to drive me so mad!I would akin them to locusts but they already are
a plague far worse and bad.
to me they're a nuisance, a bother, a pain
they seek to vex me again and again
through earth and brick they dig and scrape
and from my dogs they easily escape
up my tables they scarper and scamp
and to my feeders they cling and they clamp
with nibbles of the food left there
they never spare a thought to share!
the birds they chirp with sorrow filled breasts
as all the food is stolen by pests
I didn't put it there for you
so off you scurry, away now! Shoo!
