No-one Cares
Someone's encased you in a bubbleAn impenetrable, hard-shell bubble
With no way to get out, it's your personal cocoon
ever tightening, squeezing, constricting
They've set it loose down a mountain top
From summit to sunder as you tumble to death
Crashing past hikers, climbers and scalers,
Cavers, wayfarers, travelers and ramblers
All of them deftly avoid your descent
All of them turn their eyes to the peak
Deaf and blind to your screaming and pain
They continue their journey to the pinnacle of heaven
The end is long, The end is sad, but who's to shed a tear
The wellsprings are dry, the people are gone
The path is dead and empty
The realisation as you stare at the world
And reach your own conclusions
Then draw up your hood and hide your face
And remember that no-one cares
