Will be a series of poems. Can't think of names so Roman Numerals will have to do!
On nights when I would be alone
A world that I could fall into
shadowed from the real.
This universe I shared with those
who did not walk among this plane
but sleep they did upon most nights
and watch me from afar.
I'm sad to say with sorrowed heart
That place no longer welcomes me
Too much has passed before the eyes
that watched me from afar.
What once was such a placid land
curious with a cautious patience
now becomes a hostile plague
sickened by the scourge.
I only watch those who watched
and feel their anger, feel their hate
I dare not walk into that world
That closed it's doors behind me.
