It's Winter

It's winter
I feel the coldness in my bones
Scouring beneath my skin
Freezing my veins
Clotting my blood
Bleeding my heart

It's winter
I feel the fires of my anger
Burning inside my soul
Stoking my future
Smoking my past
Punishing my present

It's winter!
I feel the tremors of misfortune...
Tearing me asunder!
Forcing me aside!
Taking me back...

It's winter
For now
Spring will follow
New leafs on the branch
Flowers to flourish in the sun
Newborns to see the world
anew, books opened.
Pages turned.
Fresh Chapters.
Green Life.
