The Mountain Goat
Way up on the mountain sideA goat did stand against the tide
He steadfast stood against the gale, the wind,
the rain, the icy hail.
He bleat defiant, he called the storm
He scolded thunder to perform
"perform!" He cried for not enough
Was the Storm against his bluff
His horns he shook at clouds abound
For in their swarms they shroud around
Around they shroud the mountain side
Where stood the goat in all his pride
His hoofs upon the ground did tread
Did tread into the night ahead
For unafraid of dark this goat
Way up on the mountain side
