WHEN DAD RECEIVED A PACKEGE FROM HOME
2011-03-20 His medals were already attached to his deeds. Physical mementos of far off places could never quench the thirst developing that day deep in his throat. Great work as always!!!

How I Feel For You
2011-03-10 NEVER ever be afraid of yourself and your feelings. Life is far too short to have to pick and choose people who fit the life of the site.
Find your own friend. Give them some space, and keep them from drowing in the chatter that races in our souls late at nite.

THE COMEING DAWN

This is one of the best poems I have read in a very long time. Excellent in every way.

Those Who Often Hurt Us
2011-03-09 This can be so true. Those who have hurt us the most also teach us how to withdraw into ourselves, and quite often we develop a lot of inner strength.
I love the simplicity of your poems' punctuation and capitalization. That allows the reader to dig into the raw emotion and truth.
Applauds to you.
and I am you

2011-03-04 Knowing love is amazing. Writing about the love you share is tantalizing. Well done!

THEY SEND OUR YOUNG OFF TO THEIR WARS
2010-10-12 So true Ken. Thank you for realizing that our country's send away those who seek adventure, and find horror. Their war lives forever in their hearts and minds.
GET UP HIGH
2010-08-27 A well thought out comment, Ken. I especially like the last line. It should be in every 'life' primer out there.
"Get on being just you"

2010-06-24 'One word' sometimes tells the entire story of our existence. Thank you for sharing.
I Sleep
2010-04-09 This is a remarkable poem. The first verse sets the tone for your work, especially "I sleep to separate one dawn
from the next." That, in itself, is a wonderful bit of reality that brings this 'home' to the reader.
Its great to read your works. Thank you...
MY HAT AND ME WHILE OUT AND ABOUT

2010-04-05 With a wink of the eye, your hat is a sweet fragrance born on the day's winds Ken. As are, your wonderful words. *Tips cap*.. thank you kind sir.

PRIVET BOB SMITH AGED 18 ( 2010)
2010-02-03 O, my friend, how sad and true. The sorrow of war and the pain of living; mangled, torn, and shattered. These warriors of peace can never forget.
A DISAVANTAGE OF BEING SKINNY!

2010-02-03 I am reading this at 1:30 in the morning, and am smiling from ear to ear. This is wonderfully funny, clever, and interesting. Thank you from sharing Ken...
the bells of haiti

2010-01-24 Kathy, thank you for this tribute. I hope those bells never go silent. Let us never forget our brothers and sisters sleeping and weeping under a starry sky this night....

THE NEW BRITISH WAY OF SAYING GOODBYE
2010-01-18 "Death is but a mear detail"
So true. And too often, a detail too soon forgotten.
Love the poem, Ken...
Mummy's Mad!
2010-01-12 You had your say, and you said it well! I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful rhyming rant. You sound like a fine mom, and a wonderful human. Keep the fire burning inside your heart. And, I do hope that whoever wrote that article, has walked in your shoes. Otherwise, they really only have one WRONG point of view.
HOW THEY LAUGH AT HIM
2010-01-10 Ken, this is very sad, yet I think I understand the emotional expressions of the person in the poem. Thank you for sharing.
THERE IS A POINT
2010-01-10 Great point! Too many people visualize the point, yet very few people 'see the point' for what it really is...
THE ROUGH ROAD
2010-01-10 You are absolutely correct. This is delightful, sir.
ALL THROUGH MY DAYS AND NIGHTS
2009-12-23 Ken, the 'distant shores' include the souls of anyone who reads your poetry. Tell me WHERE I can buy your published words. You are simply an amazing poet. Thank you for writing and sharing your words...
MID WINTER GATHERING
2009-12-23 Ken, this brings the spirits of traditions past forward to the present moment. I love the choice of words, and the whole flow of the poem. Bookmarked!
INSIGHT TO WHAT ''IT'S'' LIKE
2009-11-01 Ken, you have written words that are truly wise and insightful. Sometimes the same book can be read by a dozen people, and each of them will take away a different meaning. The same thing is true with poetry.
As to your insight, spot on! None of us ever know the truth that is intended in conversation or in writing by the author. For, as you correctly state, the truth can be harder to accept than a lie. The challenge in life is to know who can accept the truth as it stands, rather than defend a lie to those who cannot understand the meaning of the lessons of life.
Bravo!
Thoughts on Iraq
2009-10-24 You are completely right. The 'excitement' of war has ceased to amaze anyone. The tribes of the ancients still fight amongst themselves as they have for hundreds or perhaps thousands of years.
In the end, nobody wins. Everybody loses.
The wisdom of the rabbits.
2009-10-24 Delightful and brilliant! A conversation/poem that dithers around the truth of the day, and the wisdom of thought. Those rabbits seem to be everywhere, indeed. They are even here...:D
The Dance
2009-10-23 Such sadness written by the poet who lives within your heart. Wonderful write...
THE BLANK SCREEN
2009-09-18 May the rest of us join you? lol.. I have done the same, sitting in front of the monitor, watching the cursor blink like a firefly in the summer fields.
Week After Week
2009-09-14 I do understand her sentiment. And, there is a lot of truth as to what you have written.
Sometimes, 'life' becomes therapy. It is 'free,' and a whole lot more interesting. But a good therapist can open our minds to the wonderous and sometimes bitterness that we hide inside.
Thank you for sharing.
WHEN WORDS ARE NOT READ
2009-09-13 Ken, I read this out loud, just to waken the words into reality. Your thoughts and words are always amazing to me.
Wonderful write, and excellent ideas. Thank you so much.
