ABOUT ME
I live in the state of Indiana in the USA. I am 60 and retired from my job as a reporter/columnist/photographer. I spend most of my spare time being a grandmother(Mammy), the best job I've ever had. I am the wife of Paul. I am the mother of, Jessica Rexroat, who writes on The Bay, and Joshua and Jenna, who are all married. I am the grandmother of Valerie Rexroat, who writes on The Bay. I am also the grandmother of, Luke and Mac and Maddie and the sister of Buddy, Sue, Leland, Nelson, Gloria, and Debbie. And Sam and Kathy Lockhart, who write on The Bay. I thank God for and am proud of all those identities. I am a better person because of them. Outside of those identities I am also Phyllis, or as my friends and family call me, Phyl. I love words. I hate snakes, mice and rats. I love God but have discovered that the older I get the more I realize how much I do not know about him. Who can understand the mind of God? If God was small enough to be understood, would he be big enough to worship? No matter what, no matter if it doesn't make sense at the time, I know that God loves me. I look at the cross and it never fails to remind me of that fact. That is why I am a Christian. And so, with whatever talent God has given me, I write to you on this wonderful site.
