Christmas Wish
2010-12-17 Sometimes the greatest gift we can give at Christmas, is that of sharing ourselves with people who love us. It's not easy to please everyone at once, in fact...it's next to impossible. Although your heart is blue for that one TRUE love...take comfort in the fact that you have warmed the hearts of those who have hung the stockings. :-)
Merry Christmas.

2010-10-19 A very impressive poem. :-) I love the last line. It's awful when kids are forced to grow up too fast...and yet...it's far too common in some areas. :-(

FORGIVENESS
2009-09-23 I really liked this poem. Although it may have been of a personal nature, you dared share it with the world. There are steps along the path to healing and the first is probably realizing that the drinking was in no way YOUR fault. Each of us controls our destiny to some extent. I'm sorry for your loss, sorry for your grief. Well written.

2009-06-01 Elle,

2009-05-22 The waiting to hear that voice can be painful...exhausting. Then...just when you thought that all hope was lost and even the memory of the voice had faded...there it is.... And you die all over again, with the anguish and knowledge that you never really ever had that bvoice in the first place...
Awesome piece !

2009-04-03 LOL...I don't know how I missed this superb piece before... Awesome !! It says it all ! I, use mine to show of family and vacation pics, to keep in touch with buddies far and near, and to while away the hours playing Lexulous or Chess, or perhaps the occasional jigsaw puzzle. Facebook is great, as long as we view it as entertainment. :-) Nicely written, loved the sense of humour !

Your Not a Hero
2009-03-10 This poem makes me wonder why you thought at one time that this person WAS a hero. Often we form images in our mind's eye, of the people we want to have around us. Sometimes they're family, sometimes they are friends, sometimes people we haven't even met yet. When reality confronts us, and causes us to question the images we have formed, it can be a painful process to accept. It doesn't mean that those people are any less great, they are just different from what we grew to expect of them. :-)

The Large Square Peg In The Little Round Hole
2009-03-05 Bravo !! Excellent piece ! A similar dilemma is where a teacher refers to the "gifted kids" in the class, thuis making all others by default, feel not terribly brilliant at all...sad...but true. Teachers need to realize that each person carries in their DNA, different strengths and weaknesses. If only teachers could actually spend the time to build on those individual strengths of students ! :-)
Hugs,
Dee
